Greetings from the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education (TABPHE) Corpus Christi Chapter. I am pleased to serve as the President for the 2012-2014 term, along with the other outstanding individuals on the Executive Board. I would like to thank these dedicated and valued volunteers and express my gratitude for their service to this organization.
To our members, I am very appreciative of your continued support of TABPHE Corpus Christi. I am personally grateful to you for the honor bestowed on myself and my fellow colleagues on the Executive Board.
As we consider the tasks set before us and the trust that has been bestowed upon us, we will always be mindful of our founding members, past presidents and volunteers who have worked tirelessly for years in support of this organization.
The vision of TABPHE Corpus Christi, as set forth by our bylaws, can only be realized when we stand up to serve in whatever capacity we can. TABPHE Corpus Christi needs you, but more importantly, the community and the students that we serve need you.
I am certainly aware that because these are challenging times and our schedules are ever increasing that we may not achieve everything we set out to achieve but I am hopeful that we are poised for great things. In the spirit of service, I implore you to choose to serve with TABPHE Corpus Christi.
As our President Barack Obama once said, "The challenges we face will not be solved with one meeting in one night. Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek."
I look forward to working together to be the change that we seek. Thank you.
President - Mrs. Simone B. Sanders
